Prof. Dr. Gayane Markosyan

Prof. Dr. Gayane Markosyan graduated from Yerevan State University (YSU) and completed doctoral studies in General Linguistics at Brusov State University (BSU). She qualified as an expert-trainer through a professional development programme organised by the Ayb Educational Foundation and University College London (2014–2015). She previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Russian and Foreign Languages and Associate Professor of Russian and Slavic Linguistics at BSU (2008–2014). She has also held various academic leadership positions at Ayb School and currently teaches Russian at Ayb High School. In addition, she works as a freelance translator and participates in programmes supporting the implementation of new state education standards as an expert-trainer. She has authored more than 70 scientific publications on linguistics and pedagogy.
