Past Speaker

Dr Lee graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a BA in Translation. She went on to obtain an MSc in Comparative and General Literature from the University of Edinburgh, an MA in Japanese Studies for the Professions from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and an EdD from the University of Bristol. Her doctoral dissertation investigated the perceptions of teachers and students regarding academic integrity in the English for Academic Purposes context. With qualifications in TESOL, online teaching, and teacher training, she is deeply interested in not only designing student-centred tasks and activities in both F2F and online settings, but also exploring diverse strategies of observing teacher trainees and reflecting on her own teaching practices. Outside the classroom, she enjoys studying and brewing a wide variety of Chinese tea through which she continues to discover the connection between tea-brewing and teaching.
